Chapter 2: The Vampire Night. Page 1

Soooo.... a few things to mention.
1.) I think I might need to stick with more flat/monotone/palette-specific colors with these comics. As much as there would be parts where I would want to do elaborate shading, it would be too much for me to keep up with the schedule I have set for myself- particularly combined with the style of linework I've been using. 

2.) In playing around with the coloring, I've been also thinking of adopting that "hipster/tumblr artist" style of reddening the nose. I know it's a stylization that people either love or hate, but I've personally really like how it looks. If anyone has any constructive feedback for how it looks or how to integrate it better into the style I have, I wouldn't mind hearing it.

Attention Bounty Hunters!

Apologies, because I suck...

For the past few weeks I've been busy with work and other projects, as well as fighting off a really terrible cold (even now I'm still dealing with sinus-induced headaches)... so thus explains the lack of updates this past week. I should have something up by this upcoming Monday.

So,  I'm probably going to be putting 3 or 4 stand-alone comics to act as a buffer between story arcs. I'll probably use simpler and/or more experimental coloring on these.  

Halfling eyes in this comic may or may not be dangerously toeing the line of "animesque".

Welp... first Manga Studio/Photoshop hybrid comic. :I

Manga Studio Sketches

So, I recently acquired Manga Studio 4 for a ridiculously cheap price. Here's some test doodles I did in it to get the feel for the program.

I'm thinking of doing the linework in Manga Studio and the coloring in Photoshop for my comics. Still, I have to get used to how the program works, so I probably won't have a comic up for Monday (tomorrow).
Hopefully I'll have it up by Friday and have more of a feel for Manga Studio.

Also, in the last comic I colored in the ghost's speech bubble the wrong color. I might go back and fix that, if I don't outright forget. :/
